Is "Guardians of the Galaxy" just Marvel's attempt at making something like "Star Wars?" This latest "Honest Trailer" from the folks at Screen Junkies thinks so, and shows that we'll watch just about anything that has the Marvel Comics name slapped on it.

OK, so like most everyone else, Screen Junkies actually really liked "Guardians of the Galaxy," but that didn't stop them from highlighting some of the more obvious criticisms of the movie. They argue that Marvel really wanted to do a "Star Wars"-esque film, and turned to an obscure comic that nobody really read featuring heroes nobody has really heard of to do it.

And, despite aiming for "Star Wars," "Guardians of the Galaxy" really just ended up a lot like if "The Avengers" was set in outer space. All the characters can be mapped to counterparts in "The Avengers," like Star-Lord, the Earth-born human from another time and place, as Captain America; Drax the strongman who doesn't understand our customs as Thor; and Groot, a big hulking tree like, well, the Incredible Hulk.

Check out Screen Junkies' other critiques of "Guardians of the Galaxy" by watching the video at the top of this post. Then get ready for the inevitable sequels that will feature even more space mumbo-jumbo.
