HoloLens is headed to the International Space Station (Tomorrow Daily 199)

On today's show: NASA will send Microsoft's HoloLens headset to astronauts on the ISS, an airport booth that lets passengers test the climate of their destination and a machine that creates bubbles for your calendar notifications.

SpaceX, Microsoft and NASA aren't three organizations you'd usually find in the same place with the same goals, but Project Sidekick is bringing them together. SpaceX will be lifting off this weekend to deliver supplies to the International Space Station (ISS), and included in that supply run is Microsoft's HoloLens headset. We bet the astronauts are hoping Microsoft throws in a little Halo 5 action, too, but they probably shouldn't get their hopes up.

There's an airport in Stockholm, Sweden, and it's hosting a most unusual set of kiosks: climate testers, where passengers waiting for their flights can find out just how hot or cold their destination will be when they arrive. If traveling to a locale you're not quite familiar with, knowing what the true temperature and humidity of a place is like before you get there is a good way to prepare you for the weather, so we're all for this idea.

Lastly, a group of designers have been thinking up ways to chase away those Monday blues, and we really like one of them. It's called Notifly, and it's a little orb that sits on your desk and blows a soap bubble into the air when you've got a calendar appointment. Sure, it's not going to change the world, but there's nothing wrong with bringing some joy into someone's life, right?
