The once-rampant VHS is but a distant memory. But what if today's high-budget movies were made in the VHS era? A new trailer from Vulture and Louis "Sleepy Skunk" Plamondon gives us a retro look at the upcoming "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
The clip, posted above, includes several bits of footage seen in the handful of trailers and TV spots that have already been released -- but with a vintage twist.
The clip features the same Mr. Moviefone-esque voice-over that gives viewers the backstory, and all of the insane ultra-HD visuals have been dumbed down to a much less visually repealing standard definition. But, even using comparably ancient technology and animations, it's safe to say I'd still be tempted to go and see this movie after watching the trailer.
Fortunately, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" will be in full HD when it lands in theaters on April 22 in the UK and Australia and May 1 in the US. Get ready to assemble in your local cinema, Avengers fans.
