Director J.J. Abrams has said Harrison Ford breaking his foot on the set of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" was actually a blessing in disguise.
But that didn't stop a court from fining Foodles Production, Disney-owned production company, $2 million (£1.6 million) over the incident, The Guardian reported Wednesday.
"The greatest failing of all on behalf of the company is a lack of communication," Judge Francis Sheridan said. "A lack because, if you have a risk assessment and you do not communicate it, what is the point of having one?"
In 2014, the actor was pinned down on the film's London set by a hydraulic door -- the door of the Millennium Falcon -- breaking his foot and halting production for weeks in the process. Abrams later said the incident was "the greatest gift to the movie," as it gave him "a few weeks to re-calibrate."
