Watch this: Harriet Tubman will grace the $20 bill

I'm #sorrynotsorry Mr. Jackson, but it's time for Ms. Tubman to take your place.

The US Department of Treasury announced Wednesday that President Andrew Jackson will be replaced by abolitionist Harriet Tubman on the front of a new $20 bill. The bill won't be unveiled until 2020, but that's not stopping anyone on social media. It's currently Twitter's No. 1 trending story.

Previous word on the street was that Alexander Hamilton, the country's first secretary of the treasury, would be replaced by a woman on the $10 note. However, a Broadway-inspired resurgence in his popularity shifted that plan. The founding father will remain on the front of the bill and the back will feature an image of the historic march for suffrage with leaders Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Alice Paul.

Jackson will maintain a spot along with the White House on the back side of the $20 bill. And the back side of a new $5 bill will honor events at the Lincoln Memorial featuring Marian Anderson, Eleanor Roosevelt and Martin Luther King Jr.
