Great Gangnams, Batman! Psy to debut new single on YouTube!

The man who earned fame via YouTube with his "Gangnam Style" is a man who gives back. This Saturday, he'll debut his new single live on YouTube.

This is just for you. No, really.

I have no wish to excite you excessively.

I feel I can succeed in that with this post. For I just wanted to suggest something you might want to do, should you be awake at 2:30 a.m. Pacific Time on Saturday.

Entertainment options are not necessarily legion at that time. So you might want to turn to your laptop, turn away from your usual 2:30 a.m. Web sites, and wallow in the glory of YouTube.

For there you will find Psy, the cheery performer who made you so much more attractive with his "Gangnam Style" overture, debuting his new single.

"Gangnam Style" became such a force on YouTube that it generated more than 1 billion views and more money than might be imaginable in the Psy wallet.

It became so popular that ex-senators would do it to advance their cause. It even got sadly co-opted by Remnant Knights.

Can it possibly be that Psy's new single, entitled "Gentleman," will be even bigger? No, of course it can't. But Google is positively giddy about its prospects.

A YouTube blog post offers that Psy will be streaming live from a concert in South Korea.

I fancy North Korea's Kim Jong-un is a big Psy fan. I wonder whether he'll be tuning in to YouTube as well, or whether he will have other plans this weekend.
