Sure you can deck your Christmas tree with the same old boring ornaments this year. Or you can make it a truly nerdtastic festival of fun by bedecking your tannenbaum with a set of awesome Lego ornaments from Chris McVeigh.
McVeigh (aka Powerpig -- don't ask) is a photographer, writer, illustrator and -- most awesomely -- Lego designer living in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
He's previously designed a Lego series that celebrates the tech tools of yesteryear, including an older Mac computer and vintage rotary desk phone. He also did a series of Lego ornaments for last Christmas, but this year's crop definitely takes things to a new level -- providing enough designs to fill a decently sized tree with Lego love.
You can check out some of his creations in the gallery below and find out more about the process that helps Powerpig create such holly jolly designs.
McVeigh makes his designs available for free, or you can purchase kits from his online marketplace. They range from $11.25 (about £7, AU$13) to $45 (about £29, AU$53) per ornament. Either way, best to get started now so that Santa knows just how cool you really are when he comes bouncing down into your living room in a few weeks.
