George R.R. Martin's perfect reaction to the election

The mind behind "Game of Thrones" clearly isn't a fan of President-elect Trump and offers a snappy one-liner to sum up his feelings.

George R.R. Martin is worried the United States may take on the characteristics of the brutally violent world he created in his novels after Donald Trump's upset of Hillary Clinton in Tuesday's US presidential election.

"Trump was the least qualified candidate ever nominated by a major party for the presidency. Come January, he will become the worst president in American history, and a dangerously unstable player on the world stage," Martin wrote in a blog post titled "President Pussygrabber."

Martin listed his location as "Slough of Despond" on the post, just in case his sentiment wasn't abundantly clear.

During the campaign, others played with the idea that Trump might fit in pretty well in Westeros, but Martin himself probably sums up the feelings of Trump's opponents as good as anyone else.

"Over the next four years, our problems are going to get much, much worse," he wrote. "Winter is coming. I told you so."
