Friday Poll: Would you buy an Apple iWatch?

Let's pretend the rumors are true and Apple unveils an iWatch. Would you feel the need to buy one?

Opinions on the alleged Apple iWatch are all over the place. Some people see it as a sign of Apple jumping into a hot space. Others question just how many people will feel the need to wear Apple on their wrists.

Apple iWatch rumors have been floating around like people in blue shirts at an Apple Store. We've gotten a report that Apple has a small army of 100 people working away to create the smartwatch, but we're still short of any real evidence.

The whole wearable tech market is buzzing right now, so it's not too far of a stretch to imagine Apple coming out with its own sleek multifunction timepiece with the hopes of dominating a young market the way it did with the iPad.

I remember way back, long before tablets and smartphones existed, when my father got a fancy Casio calculator watch. It was the most awesome thing in the world at the time. I wanted one, too. No watch has thrilled me quite as much since that childhood event. Will Apple succeed where Pebble and its ilk have failed?

My personal desire for an iWatch hinges on two things: what it can do and what it costs. I'm not ready to say I want one. Let's say all these rumors become reality and Apple unveils an iWatch. Would you buy one? Vote in our poll and talk it out in the comments.
