Fan-made video reimagines the 'Star Wars' prequels
This parody trailer for the "Star Wars" prequels puts new actors in the roles of Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala and is packed with copious amounts of lightsaber and starship battles.
CNET freelancer Anthony Domanico is passionate about all kinds of gadgets and apps. When not making words for the Internet, he can be found watching Star Wars or "Doctor Who" for like the zillionth time. His other car is a Tardis.
Think the "Star Wars" prequels weren't as good as the original trilogy? You're not alone.
YouTube video-maker Alex Luthor posted a trailer to his YouTube channel on Friday imagining what it would look like if the prequels were packed with a little more action, along with a few character changes.
To create the trailer, Luthor took footage from the prequels and the original "Star Wars" trilogy, as well as clips from the popular "Star Wars" video games Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Galen Marek, Vader's apprentice in The Force Unleashed games, takes over for Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in the clip. Actress Gemma Arterton takes on Natalie Portman's role as Padmé Amidala. The trailer itself has copious amounts of lightsaber and starship battles, and an abundance of Marek's abilities from the video games.

Abrams' "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens" will land in theaters in Australia on December 17, followed by the US, UK and other international locations on December 18.
