While we impatiently wait to see if Benedict Cumberbatch grows a goatee and wears a cape in the upcoming "Doctor Strange" movie trailer, a fan gives us a cosmic look at what could be.
The mysterious Marvel superhero movie "Doctor Strange" is scheduled to debut in theaters on November 4, 2016, but for some of us that's just way too long to wait.
Fan Alex Silver is so eager for the upcoming "Doctor Strange" movie that he made these impressive opening title sequence for the film, including a listing for the lead actor Benedict Cumberbatch.
Using 2-D images from the "Doctor Strange" Marvel comics, Silver transforms them into moving 3-D masterpieces. The video is made even better via the soundtrack in the form of The Flaming Lips song "W.A.N.D."
The homage to the old Silver Age comics by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko is a nice touch considering we have no idea how much the upcoming film -- written by Jon Spaihts and directed by Scott Derrickson -- will change the look and tone of the classic story.
After all, it's not easy envisioning a new movie about an ex-neurosurgeon who, as the Sorcerer Supreme, protects us humans from magical threats. Whether we get a gritty, dark version of the occultist superhero or a more classic take on "Doctor Strange" won't be revealed until we see the official Marvel movie trailer.
But until then, we can enjoy this delightful fan-made "Doctor Strange Title Sequence."
