Expect double the 'Star Wars' 3D in late 2013

Start shinin' your sabers. A massive force of "Star Wars" is headed to the silver screen in 2013.

More sabers than you can shake a saber at.

Lucasfilm and Twentieth Century Fox announced today an epic sci-fi 3D doubleheader for fall 2013: "Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones" and "Episode III Revenge of the Sith" arrive in theaters during consecutive months next year.

Officially, the 3D version of "Episode II" hits the big screen on September 20, 2013, while the 3D "Episode III" debuts on October 11, 2013.

Industrial Light & Magic supervised the 3D conversion of the remaining "Star Wars" prequels by Prime Focus, a company that also worked on the conversion for "Episode I." Lucasfilm plans to rerelease all of the "Star Wars" movies in 3D, which probably will earn hundreds of millions, considering "Episode I" in 3D netted a domestic gross of $43,456,382, according to IMDB.

The studios announced the news at the closing ceremony for the massive Star Wars Celebration VI fan gathering in Orlando, Fla., which also hosted a larger-than-life Rancor among many other out-of-this-world things.
