AT&T offers glimmer of hope for David Ayer's cut of Suicide Squad
Justice League's Snyder Cut is coming to HBO Max, and a tweet teased the possibility of more DC do-overs.
Fan demand is bringing the Snyder Cut of Justice League to HBO Max in 2021, and some are making their next DC Comics redux request clear: David Ayer's cut of 2016 antihero adventure Suicide Squad.
"One thing at a time," HBO Max parent company AT&T responded to an eager tweet on Thursday, with a GIF of a stressed-out Lynda Carter Wonder Woman.
It followed up with a GIF of Suicide Squad villain Enchantress (Cara Delevingne).
"Anything is possible. All it takes is a little magic," the company replied.

Suicide Squad saw a supersecret government agency recruiting a group of imprisoned baddies, including Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn and Will Smith's Deadshot, to carry out a dangerous mission. Ayer has previously revealed elements that were in his version of the movie, like a bigger role for Jared Leto's Joker. On Thursday, the director suggested he's up for releasing that one.
"Standing by," he wrote.
The theatrical cut of Suicide Squad earned mixed reviews -- even though it won an Oscar -- but got a strong Harley Quinn-centric followup in this year's Birds of Prey. It's also getting a full-blown sequel, The Suicide Squad, helmed by Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn, in August 2021.
Neither DC Comics nor Warner Bros. immediately responded to requests for further comment.
