Emachines unveils PCs, cuts prices

Emachines introduced two new PCs on Monday and cut $50 off the price of three other models. All of the listed prices include Emachines rebates of $50 to $75. The new eTower 633is costs $399 and has a 633MHz Intel Celeron processor. The new eMonster 800 costs $799 and features an 800MHz Intel Pentium III processor, a CD drive and a CD-rewritable drive. The eTower 633ids now costs $499 and features a 633MHz Celeron and a DVD drive. The eTower 667ir, now priced at $599, has a 667MHz Celeron and a CD-RW drive. The eTower 700irx, which now sells for $699, features a 700MHz Celeron, a CD drive and a combination CD-RW and DVD drive. PC buyers can also get $400 rebates for signing up for MSN or CompuServe Internet access for three years.
