DIY Deadpool knife block holds all your stabby kitchen cutlery

The Merc with the Mouth is now putting his noggin to good use as an irreverent 3D-printed knife holder for your kitchen.

Call him a superhero. Call him an antihero. Call him insane. Deadpool has been called plenty of things, but now he can also be known as "knife block."

Instructables user Britt Michelsen (BrittLiv) dropped what may be the world's most unconventional cutlery holder into our lives and it's a sick beauty.

The Deadpool knife block is a DIY project that uses 3D modeling software and a 3D printer to create a bust of the sassy superhero with knife slots built into the top. Deadpool is fond of pointy objects and he's not afraid to wedge them into his foes. That's part of what qualifies him to be your personal knife caddie.

Michelsen used a MakerBot Replicator 2 printer to build the knife block. The custom paint job uses Deadpool's trademark red and black colors with white eyes. Michelsen couldn't fit the whole head into the Replicator 2, so it had to be printed in sections and then glued together into the final form.

Our red-clad hero is known to be indestructible, so you shouldn't feel bad about plunging your highly honed, high-carbon stainless-steel Wusthof collection into him when you're not busy chopping up onions or comic-book villains.

Depending on the number of knives you need to store, you may also want an X-wing knife block to round out your collection.

Michelsen kindly supplied the 3D files for you. So go forth and print yourself a Deadpool knife block, cue up Juice Newton's "Angel of the Morning" and start making some chimi-effing-changas.
