Monday's top tech headlines are landing safely on your Earthly screens:
The Apple v. Samsung courtroom drama continues this week. The rundown: Apple says Samsung copied the iPhone and iPad. Samsung says it's just being competitive, and has also counter sued for patent infringement. Monday, Apple made the argument that Samsung's icons look the same as Apple's icons. What do you think?
The first week of Apple testimony revealed interesting tidbits, such as how executives liked the idea of a 7-inch iPad. We also learned that the iPhone was first called Project Purple and that it was treated with "Fight Club" secrecy.
NASA's Curiosity rover has landed safely on Mars, and the achievement has geeks raving. Just the sky crane system alone was quite a feat, not to mention every other element that piloted this one-ton nuclear-powered rover. But it'll be a few days before we hear more from Curiosity. Scientists have to spend the next week testing all its instruments, and later it'll go for a spin on the surface and send us some color photos. Just think about it: a robot the size of a car traveled 352 million miles in space and it works. The future is pretty cool.
Ebay is testing a same-day delivery service called eBay Now. Residents in San Francisco can sign-up to order from some retailers, like Target and Macy's, and get the item the same day.
And you sent in lots of feedback about the Dyle mobile TV service that was introduced last week. Some of your video replies are featured in today's show, and you can see the full Tout conversation feed embedded below. And to clarify a few few of your questions, Dyle does not use data. It picks up local broadcast signals (hence the antenna). But that means you're limited with how many channels you could get and you'll need clear reception. In New York, we were able to access four stations in the office: NBC, Fox, Telemundo and the kid's programming of Qubo.
Also, someone asked if it would work with multiple devices. The first models will only connect with iOS devices. (And it's unknown if it's only for the current 30-pin dock connector as well as the proposed new, smaller dock.) Can't wait to see how the tech shapes up when more options come out this Fall.
