Dell will update its Latitude 600-series notebook line with Intel's Pentium 4-M and faster graphics. The PC maker will launch Thursday the new Latitude C640, a 5.4 pound machine that can pack up to a 2GHz Pentium 4-M.

The new Latitude will include a 14.1-inch screen, built-in 802.11b wireless networking, ATI's Mobility Radeon 7500 graphics processor and 32MB of video memory. The machine will start at about $1,850, fitted with a 1.6GHz Pentium 4-M, 128MB of RAM, a 20GB hard drive and a CD-ROM.
