'Deadpool' makes Christmas dreams come true with new trailers

Check out our roundup of trailers, script sneak peeks, teasers and even emojis of the Merc with the Mouth. We even include the NSFW trailer for those who prefer their Deadpool intake without a filter.

Because we've all been good kids this year, 20th Century Fox and Marvel gave us 12 days of Deadpool with teaser trailers showing the wisecracking anti-hero doing things like showing off a giant chimichanga and drinking eggnog. Plus, we got a peek at the script with crazy Deadpool doodles in the margins.

We also got not one but two different movie posters of Deadpool in a sweater and Deadpool with all the characters from the movie. And don't forget to download those adorkable Deadpool emojis.

So for Christmas Day, we were treated to both safe and not-so-safe full movie trailers to get us even more excited about the new "Deadpool" movie starring Ryan Reynolds, out in February of 2016.

In the safe "green ban" trailer, we get to see Deadpool's origin story as a lab experiment that turned a handsome Reynolds as Wade Wilson into the scarred-up superhero in red Spandex we know and love.

We get a good look at X-Men's Colossus (voiced by Stefan Kapicic), as well as Ellie Phimister, better known as Negasonic Teenage Warhead (played by Brianna Hildebrand), using her mutant powers that are a bit different than her psychic powers in the comic books. In fact, "Deadpool" director Tim Miller pumped up her abilities to make it look more impressive on film.

"We chose her because we wanted a trainee for Colossus in the film and the writers and I just fell in love with her name," Miller told Empire magazine. "We thought, well, we're going to need to make her powers fit with who she feels like she is in the movie and so to me it's just like other characters in the Marvel universe."

Deadpool has plenty to say and shoot at in both the safe and NSFW trailers.

And yes, we also get to see more of T.J. Miller as Weasel, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Jed Rees as The Recruiter, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Ed Skrein as Ajax, T.J. Miller as Weasel and Morena Baccarin as Vanessa Carlysle, aka Copycat.

There are the usual action-packed sequences of Deadpool with Desert Eagle guns blazing, twirling around slicing up bad guys with his katana swords, and of course, doing it all while shooting his mouth off.

Since "Deadpool" is the first R-rated film in Marvel's new movie lineup, we also get a new "red band" trailer to watch away from the rest of the family.

Much like the previous NSFW trailer back in August, this raunchy trailer shows Deadpool hunting down people on his naughty list.

It's got the same action as the "green ban" trailer but a lot more blood and gore. His wisecracks have the kind of swear words you'd expect from Deadpool. Plus plenty of crotch shots, zipping up flies and a shot of Deadpool's very tight end.

And just like in the comics, Deadpool breaks the Fourth Wall during epic slow-motion moments and talks directly to the audience. And we love him for it.

Watch a the safe full-length trailer at the top of this article. Or check out the NSFW trailer below, but don't say we didn't warn you. It's definitely not safe for work or underaged eyeballs.

"Deadpool" is scheduled to premiere on February 5 in the UK, followed by Australia on February 11 and the US on February 12.
