The Cyberathlete Professional League, one of the main groups promoting high-stakes computer game tournaments, announced details Monday of its next contest, sponsored by chipmaker Intel. The Pentium 4 Processor Winter Event will be held Dec. 18-22 in Dallas and will have more than $150,000 in prize money for the top players in games such as "Counter-Strike" and "Unreal Tournament." The event will also include a $10,000 contest for the best PC "mod," aesthetic enhancements avid gamers make to their PCs.
