Conan rides the 'Mad Max: Fury Road' Doof Wagon to Comic-Con

Late-night TV host heads to Comic-Con in San Diego in style: dressed up as The Doof Warrior riding in (or on) the Doof Wagon from "Mad Max: Fury Road."

Conan is driving to Comic-Con, and he's taking the Fury Road.

On the cold open to Wednesday night's episode of "Conan," Conan O'Brien and Andy Richter headed to the annual convention in San Diego in style as characters from the movie "Mad Max: Fury Road." Richter was dressed as Immortan Joe, the main antagonist from the movie, while O'Brien was dressed up as Immortan Joe's blind, flamethower guitar-wielding sidekick The Doof Warrior. O'Brien and Richter rode in a mockup of the Doof Wagon while Conan cranked out a mean flamethrower guitar solo as the Doof Wagon made its way down the Fury Road to Comic-Con.

The trip doesn't quite go as planned, as Richter gets lost because he can't hear the GPS over O'Brien's loud, never-ending guitar playing. Watch the video in full above to see if Richter, O'Brien and the rest of the War Boys ever made it to San Diego. (Hint: O'Brien is hosting his late-night show, which airs on TBS, from San Diego.) Then be sure to keep up with our coverage of Comic-Con 2015, the annual entertainment geekfest that kicks off today at the San Diego Convention Center.
