CNET UK podcast 467: Assange backed by UN, Sky Q prices and VR goes to Hollywood

Julian Assange clutches the UN ruling that says he should go free. But the UK government thinks otherwise.

Julian Assange should be free to leave the Ecuadorian embassy in London, according to a new UN ruling that backs the WikiLeaks founder. The UK government has other ideas though -- saying that Assange is indeed free to leave whenever he likes, but that he can expect to be arrested when he does.

We bring you a news report on the latest Assange developments in the latest edition of the UK's greatest tech podcast, plus so much more.

Oh, you want specifics? No problem. We've got actual pricing information on Sky Q (spoiler alert: it's extremely expensive), and word that Apple might be getting into wireless charging tech. We also chat about Alphabet taking Apple's top spot as the world's most valuable company, and Rich gets over-excited about the future of VR in filmmaking.

Also, apologies for the late episode this time. Normal service will resume this week, which, if you didn't know, sees podcasts go live every Friday. Thanks for your continued support!
