CES to step up security

The Consumer Electronics Show, set for Jan. 8-11 in Las Vegas, will institute new security measures in light of the Sept. 11 terror attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Among the new measures will be bag searches and an increased number of security personnel on the show floor, according to a statement released Tuesday from CES, one of the world's largest consumer electronics trade shows. More specific plans are being kept confidential.
