Casio invests in Sybase subsidiary

Casio, which makes handheld computers, has agreed to invest $5 million in Sybase's mobile and wireless subsidiary called iAnywhere Solutions. The investment will allow iAnywhere to put more focus on mobile commerce. It also "will allow Casio to provide robust mobile database applications" for its mobile devices, Casio President Gary Rado said in a statement. Casio is based in Japan.
