While Fujifilm did announce the FinePix Z200fd compact Thursday, that was the beginning and the end of the new offerings for the U.S. But Fujifilm Canada didn't stop there, and pages for several new point-and-shoots, as well as a page for a new 10-megapixel ultrazoom, the FinePix S2000HD, showed up on the company's Web site Friday.
Fronted by a 15x optical zoom lens (F3.5 wide - F5.4 telephoto), the $300 (Canadian) dSLR-style camera also offers up the option to record Motion JPEGs at 720p (1,280x720). It's not exactly the design I'd want for shooting HD video, but you might as well take advantage of the resolution if you've got it.
Probably of more importance is the dual-image stabilization. Assuming this is the follow-up to the S1000fd, it would be an improvement over its singular stabilization that just boosted sensitivity.
