Buy the Palmer house from David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks'

If you can get past all the weird things that happened there, you can own the infamous house for just $550,000.

Ever dreamed of slowing down and living in a place where the trees are plentiful, donuts and pies are treasured, and the coffee is damn fine?

If so, you'll be happy to learn that the infamous Palmer house, where Leland, Sarah, and Laura lived in the cult '90s television hit "Twin Peaks," is up for sale for just south of $550,000. For that price, you get the same 4-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom house featured in the show. The family that has lived there since the show has made some upgrades, but it still looks and feels like the Palmers could still live there.

It even has Laura Palmer's wicker rocking chair, though no word on whether it actually comes with the house. Just imagine yourself relaxing in the chair and taking up whittling -- because that's what you do in a town where a yellow light still means slow down, not speed up.

The blog Welcome to Twin Peaks has some awesome pictures that compare the pictures in the listings to shots from scenes in the show. Be sure to check them out, then put in your bid for this awesome house in Everett, Wash.
