Bond's on a dark mission in final 'Spectre' 007 trailer

Sony Pictures has released the final trailer for the upcoming 007 film "Spectre," building the hype for James Bond's triumphant return to the big screen.

Sony Pictures has released the final trailer for the upcoming James Bond movie "Spectre" to build the hype for its release later in October.

According to the film's synopsis, 007 receives a cryptic message about his past, and sets out on a mission to uncover the secret criminal organization Spectre while M fights to keep the Secret Service alive.

Many of the villains James Bond has previously encountered are a part of Spectre, including Dr. No, Emilio Largo and Spectre leader Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and the film should bring to light some new truths about the secretive criminal group.

The trailer itself points to an action-packed movie with explosions, gunfights and all sorts of other destruction -- basically everything you'd expect from a James Bond film. But will Bond manage to take down Spectre once and for all?

We'll find out when "Spectre" lands in theaters starting in the UK on October 26, then other countries including the US on November 6 and Australia on November 12.
