Comedian Bill Maher introduces Apple's stunning new gun

Technically Incorrect: It's called the iDefender and it only fires special iShells.

Technically Incorrect offers a slightly twisted take on the tech that's taken over our lives.

Shooting from the hip?

There's a strange perception that only conservatives embrace guns.

But with the election results still warming our craniums, perhaps it's time liberals became the doomsday-prepping gun nuts.

That isn't my phrase. It's one offered by comedian Bill Maher on his HBO show "Real Time"(around the 49-minute mark).

Liberals "just need survival products tailored to our lifestyle," said Maher. And who understands lifestyle better than Apple?

Welcome, then, to the iDefender. This fine and necessary new product is, according to Maher, "like any other shotgun, just twice as expensive, only accepts Apple's proprietary iShells and they removed the barrel sight to make it thinner."

Surely, once these are launched -- my tagline: Now You Can Shoot And Be Hip -- open carry will be embraced by all.

Who wouldn't want to be seen with this marvelously-designed gun? It seems to have elements of aluminium, as Jony Ive would say, plenty of sleek white and even an actual iPhone placed near your chin, as you begin shooting.

How easy it would be to open fire and broadcast on Facebook Live at the same time. And how much it would add to your own personal style to walk into a San Francisco speakeasy and find it so much easier to speak to people.

I see fashion brands competing with this Apple trend. Who wouldn't want a Gucci gun for Christmas?
