Best Buy expands PC lineup

"Big box" retailer Best Buy announced it will expand its line of house brand PCs starting Sunday. Select stores began selling PCs made by VPR Matrix, a Best Buy subsidiary, under a test program launched early this year. The program is being expanded with a line of PCs featuring Intel Pentium 4 processors running at 1.8GHz, 2.26GHz, 2.4GHz and 2.53GHz.

The PCs all feature sleek cases created by Porsche Design and high-end features such as 512MB of DDR memory and onboard RAID controllers for hard disks. Prices range from $850 to $1,700.
