The gif has come a long way from the gaudy, glittering baubles used to fancy up Angelfire and Geocities web pages. We've briefly touched on its capabilities before — J-P Metsävainio's beautiful lenticular nebula gifs, the geometrical work of Mr Div and artist Insa's animated street art.
The latest artist working in the gif medium is a Croatian student by the name of Paolo Čerić. According to Colossal, he's currently studying information processing at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. Using programs called Processing, Cinema 4D and After Effects, he's been able to create works of spectacular simplicity.
