'Batman: The Killing Joke' animated film to split your sides from July
The animated adaptation of the classic Batman comic will be released digitally on July 23 and on Blu-ray in early August.
Between its highly regarded source material, strong cast and R-rating, the animated film adaptation of "Batman: The Killing Joke" has a lot of people excited.
Fans of The Caped Crusader will get to see the flick starting on July 23, when Warner Bros. Animation will release it digitally. A Blu-ray release will come later on August 2.
Batman's last jaunt on to the silver screen in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" wasn't received with particular warmth, so the stakes here are higher than usual. The animated movie will feature voice acting from Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill as Batman and the Joker, respectively.
Made by by Alan Moore, Brian Bolland and John Higgins, 1988's "The Killing Joke" is one of the most well-known Batman comic books and has arguably become the definitive Joker origin story.
