Mobileye's AWS (advance warning system) corrects bad driving habits such as tailgating and changing lanes without signaling.

With the rainy season almost upon us, this a gadget could help make the roads safer and perhaps even cut down on road rage.

Mobileye's AWS (advance warning system) corrects bad driving habits such as tailgating and changing lanes without signaling. It also warns distracted drivers of impending rear-end collisions or unintended lane departures.

The system uses a forward-facing camera, speakers, and a display that shows the amount of space between your car and the one in front. AWS beeps at the driver with increasing frequency as forward distance closes, while giving a visual warning on its display. If the car changes lanes without the turn signal activated, AWS produces a rumble-strip sound.

No word on whether the system will also yell at the driver if the turn signal is left on and no lane changes are made.
