ATI debuts $200 graphics board

ATI Technologies on Thursday said it has begun shipping its for Windows PCs. The board sells for $200 when purchased directly from ATI, the company said. That compares with the top-of-the-line Radeon 9800 board, priced at about $400."We are driving cinematic rendering, with all the image quality that implies, into the performance mainstream," Rick Hegberg, ATI's senior vice president of worldwide sales, said in a statement.
