Artist imagines Hogwarts in a galaxy far, far away

What if your favorite "Star Wars" characters went to Hogwarts? Artist James Hance is back with his fantastic mashups, and shows us what "Star Wars" characters would look like in the Potterverse.

If George Lucas and J.K. Rowling ever teamed up for a movie trilogy, it would probably look something like this.

Artist James Hance is known for his incredible paintings of characters from popular science-fiction and fantasy movies. Occasionally, Hance does mashup paintings that imagine characters from other popular franchises as they might look in the "Star Wars" universe, and his latest series of mashups may be just what the wizard ordered. In a series of three paintings, Hance brings characters from the "Harry Potter" series into a galaxy far, far away to meet their "Star Wars" counterparts.

And the casting is pretty damn perfect. Hance has Hagrid and Ron Weasley as the scruffy-looking troll herders Chewbacca and Han Solo, Harry Potter and Hermione Granger as Luke and Leia Skywalker and Severus Snape as Darth Vader. These paintings are seriously incredible, and they'd be a great addition to your TV room or "Harry Potter"/"Star Wars" shrine.

Sadly, the original artworks aren't for sale (yet, anyway), but you can buy 17x11-inch prints of each painting for just $15 apiece on Hance's storefront.
