The folks over at iFixYouri have compared the glass screen components in the original iPad with the iPad 2's glass. Impressively, iPad 2's glass was noticeably stronger despite being thinner.
If you were wondering just how strong the screen components are in the iPad 2, we now know thanks to some tests that the iPhone repair experts over at iFixYouri have done comparing the flexibility of the glass screen parts from both devices.
As has already been reported, the iPad's 2 screen (that includes the LCD) is thinner than the one found in the original iPad, which helped Apple make the iPad 2 lighter. Some wondered whether the thinner glass might be more fragile, but from this video, anyway, it appears the opposite is true.
