Apple Computer launched Monday a new promotion offering a discount of up to $500 to those who buy a Power Mac desktop along with a 17-inch, 22-inch or 23-inch Apple flat-panel monitor. The mail-in rebate, which runs through Aug. 12, offers $300 back on the purchase of an 800MHz Power Mac, $400 back on a 933MHz Power Mac or $500 back on the purchase of a dual processor 1GHz machine.
