Apple, already the world's most valuable company, has received yet another superlative... from Mad Magazine.
Uh-oh. This can't be good for Tim Cook and the Cupertino clan.
Indeed, get ready for some serious harshness from the wit-masters at Mad who earlier gave us the above hilarious mock New Yorker cover featuring the world as seen by Apple Maps.
The kind folks at Mad gave me an exclusive preview of an upcoming issue that names the Apple Maps fiasco as one of the "Top 20 Dumbest People, Events and Things of 2012."
To recognize the great geographic goofs involved, Mad is featuring the below full-page mock apology from Tim Cook. (More on his real apologyhere)
Take note of this line at the bottom -- "Everything we do at Apple is aimed at making our products the best in the world. But without Steve Jobs around anymore, we can aim a little lower."
Ouch. Snap!
Mad's end of year "America's Dumbest" issue hits stands on December 18, but you can click on the image below to see the full faux apology from Cook, which comes in at No. 14 on the list.
