New 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' teaser, new Jedi in action

We've seen baddie Kylo Ren's weird new lightsaber, and now we get to see John Boyega's Finn turn the light on in response.

If you find yourself jones-ing for another tidbit of " Star Wars: The Force Awakens" to get you through the next three months, Disney is happy to slip you another fix.

This time it's the long-awaited response to that weird crossguard lightsaber most prominently seen in the hands of the apparently villainous (although not enough to warrant the dreaded " Darth" moniker, it seems) Kylo Ren in earlier teases.

In the below clip posted to the official Star Wars Instagram account Thursday, we see Ren (played by Adam Driver) wielding the more ostentatious lightsaber, but now we see that he's facing off with former Stormtrooper Finn (John Boyega) rocking the more old-school blue version.

The seventh episode of the iconic franchise premieres in December. While you're killing time waiting for it, check out this epic Daft Punk mashup and share your excitement with the latest lightsaber emojis.

Also, keep checking back with us for the latest details as they roll out. I'm even keeping track of rumors that involve spacecraft linked to the Empire crossing over into our universe and crash-landing on Mars.

Now that would be one heck of a plot twist... and I wouldn't put it past J.J. Abrams. I mean, it would still make more sense than "Lost."
