Since 2006, self-described "knitting mad scientist" Emily Stoneking of Burlington, Vt., has been "knitting icky things out of cozy materials." Her hand-crafted anatomizations of animals like frogs, bats, and earthworms are not only impressively detailed but also soft to the touch.
"I have no background in science, just a layman's love of it." Emily states.
Check out her Etsy shop, aKNITomy, where you'll find completed pieces for sale, as well as dissection kits and patterns for DIY fun.
