Adobe releases light-duty Photoshop

Adobe Systems on Tuesday released a new addition to its Photoshop line of digital imaging software. As previously reported, the Photoshop Album application is aimed at mainstream digital camera owners.

The package includes tools for organizing and indexing photos on a PC, performing simple touch-ups and backing up photos online or to removable media. The software can also automatically resize photos for e-mail sharing and collect photos into slideshows using Adobe's PDF document format. Photoshop Album is available from retailers now for $50.
