Your holiday packages: One app to track them allThere are already a handful of good apps out there, like ones from UPS and FedEx, to track packages. But there are also apps that can help you check the status of all your purchases, no matter who's delivering them. Just in time for the holiday shopping...
[MUSIC] The free iPhone and Android app Slice works almost like a good personal assistant. Once you download it or register with the web version online, enter the email address associated with your online purchases. Slice will comb through your inbox and organize all of your orders, track the shipping, and alert you when one is en route or has arrived. In addition to tracking, Slice can also notify you when something you've purchased drops in price. Allowing you to contact the retailer for a price adjustment. Parcel is another free app for iOS devices that is able to track shipments from more than 240 different delivery services worldwide. Users have to manually enter the tracking numbers. But we'll appreciate the map view to follow their packages across the state or world and the many setting for receiving alerts. If you want to track more than three shipments at a time and upgrade to the premium service will cost you $1.99 a year. In San Francisco, I'm Coress Dubois CNET.com for CBS News.
