Yi's little 4K action cam is an unbelievable bargainOverflowing with shooting options and capable of great-looking video, this is an excellent camera for anyone who doesn't buy by brand alone.
Putting high-end components into a tech product doesn't guarantee greatness. But Yi's 4K action camera certainly proves it's possible and can be done for $250. Yi used a high-end chipset from leader Ambarella and a Sony image sensor. Which, combined, gets you excellent detailed 4K video, but also full HD at 120 frames per second. And 720p at 240 frames per second. Great for slow motion video. And even with all these, it can still get up to two hours of battery life. Photos, video, time lapse, slow motion, it's all just a tap away on this Gorilla Glass scratch resistance touch screen. Swiping left or right flips between a camera and photo mode, and then you can tap here To access all the mode settings in general camera options including electronic M destabilization and, you can swipe down to quickly turn on wi-fi or bluetooth. Wi-fi lets you connect to a mobile device for a remote control In editing and sharing, while the Bluetooth can be used with an optional remote that comes with this nice selfie stick for an extra $30. And really that's the biggest downside to the E4K. The base package doesn't come with any accessories. That, and the microSD card slot is a pain to get at. Still, it has a tripod mount built in and $40 gets you a waterproof housing compatible with GoPro mounts. Regardless of the extra costs though, it's an incredible deal for all that it does. [MUSIC]
