[MUSIC] If you're on the search for a small but powerful sound bar that's also loaded with features, then the Yamaha YSP-1600 is worth a look in. This is a single sound bar without a separate sub, but instead it has two onboard 3.5 inch subwoofers. However it does have a subwoofer out, so you can add your own as well. As far a sound quality is concerned, this sound bar is really good at creating a big sound field. It bounces beams off your walls in a more convincing way then most competitors under a grand. If you want features, though, this speaker has them licked, with HDMI, Bluetooth and wi-fi. It also has Yamaha's own music cast system, which let's you control music around your whole house. Yamaha offers it in most of its 2015 products, including its receivers. Additionally, this device has an IR repeater across the entire back of the unit. This is encased, it's two and a half inch height, blocks your TV's infrared port. One of the things about this product is you do kinda miss the subwoofer. If you're looking for boom and thrills, there are better and cheaper systems like Yamaha's own YAS-203 for that At $500 or 500 pounds, it's not cheap. But it does offer some intriguing features, and convincing surround, in a compact package. This is [UNKNOWN] at Cnet.com. [MUSIC]
