Virtual garage sale: Apps for selling your stuff
The key to selling your stuff quickly is to reach a broad audience.
And that's the genius behind a free, Sell Simple app for iPhone users.
Take a few photos of your item, write a description, set the price, and then push the Sell Simple listing out to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and even eBay and Amazon.
The app will monitor your item on all platforms to prevent an accidental double sale.
If you're interested in just selling locally for bulky furniture or precious items, try the free app Shpock and Yard Sale.
Both are easy and quick to use but Shpock relies more on photos and let's you browse by category.
Yard Sale posts listings simultaneously on Facebook and Twitter, and gives you options for setting up alerts for new items.
And finally if you're selling designer clothing, look no further than Poshmark, a free app for both iPhone and Android users.
Listing your item is free and easy, but after you and the buyer negotiate the price, Poshmark takes a commission on the final sale.
