Vantec NexStar Hard Drive Dock NST-D300S3The Vantec NexStar Hard Drive Dock is a good, affordable tool for computer technicians and those who work with internal hard drives.
>>If you work with a lot of internal hard drive like this one or this one, I have here another option for you to make a job easier. Hello, my name is Dong Ngo and this is a Vantec NexStar hard drive docking station. This is a second docking station we will see in the support ESP3 Prango [phonetic] and like the previous one from inow [phonetic]. The NexStar has the same toaster design. You load the hard drive on top here just like you would put a piece of bread into a toaster. And this spring-loaded latch to keep the drive of any thickness in place. The Vantec NexStar can handle both the full size through 25 inch and the laptop 2.5 inch software hard drives. It doesn't support the Legacy IDE hard drive however. The device has only one USB throughput connection and come with an USB throughput cable. This cable also works with ESP2 Prango ports, but of course, at slower speed. There's no eSATA or FireWire connections. The NexStar is kind of bulky but it has a good design with fancy looking blue lines on the front. It also fills most story and grouted thanks to it added height and wider base. You know in our testing of the NexStar performed very well with ESP through Prango offering speeds up to 100 megabytes per second. This is about three times faster than any other ESP2 Prango extra storage device. For just around $40, the Vantec NexStar is a good investment for anyone who works frequently with internal hard drive. It will save you a lot of time and spare you from having to open the computer's case. For more information check out the in depth review at CNET.com.
