-Internet Explorer 9 has got some cool new features and one of the bests lets you create site-specific browsers on your Windows 7 desktop.
Hi, I'm Seth Rosenblatt for CNET and today, I'm going to show you how to use IE9's pinned sites.
Open a site in IE9, then click on the tab and drag it to your Windows 7 taskbar.
When you see the indicator appear,
The site will then be permanently available from your taskbar.
You can still browse to other sites from within the pinned sites browser window.
There's one catch to pinned sites.
The site developer has to enable and customized the pin features for you to get access to them.
Otherwise, you can still pin a site to your taskbar just wanted to have any unique hotness to it.
Some sites that currently have pin features enabled include Pandora, CNN and Hulu where you can access your cue, set multiple bookmarks within the site,
access media controls, or get an overlay that tells you your unread e-mail account.
So, pinned sites are a simple feature, but can be useful for repetitive browsing tasks.
What if that causes carpal tunnel?
Anyway, be sure to check out our other IE9 How-To videos.
