The first step is to find out if a streaming service has all of the music you're looking for.
Most of the catalogs from services like Apple Music, Spotify, and Google Play Music overlap.
But there are some exceptions.
For instance, Taylor Swift's newest album is only available on Apple Music.
If it's more than just you in the household, family pricing can make it cheaper for multiple people to stream at the same time.
For instance, Spotify If I could do a 50% discount for each additional person and Apple music lets up to six people share an account for $14.99 a month and for music fans who have spent years building their library, all of these services let you upload to the app so you can play those files along with the streaming options.
With google play music you can even play playlists with both kinds of tunes and even download them to your device for offline streaming.
