The new X1 Carbon from LenovoThe new X1 Carbon claims to be the world's lightest 14-inch ultrabook.
I'm Dan Ackerman and we recently got to take a look at the new Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon Ultra Book. Note that X1 name sounds familiar that's because Lenovo has an X1 last year meant to be a Macbook Air competitor. It was a little bit too thick for that. This new version is much slimmer. Lenovo said it's the world's lightest 14 inch Ultra Book and 3 pound and the new design while a lot nicer doesn't really break any new ground. It does have the back lit keyboard which we appreciate. It also got a built in 3G modem something a lot of Ultra Books lack. It also got the very latest 3rd generation Intel Core I Series CPU's, otherwise known as Ivy Bridge and a high screen resolution than usual 1600x900 but that means this is gonna be a premium price Ultra Book. We expect it some time this summer for more than a thousand dollars. That's the Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon.
