The G-Drive Mobile USB-C is a decent portable driveCNET editor Dong Ngo explains how the G-Drive Mobile USB-C makes sense if you use a certain notebook computer.
[MUSIC] Hi guys, this is the G-Drive Mobile USB-C portable drive. Now, USB-C is the key here because this drive goes really well with your Macbook because that has nothing but just one USB-C port right here. Of course you can also get this SanDisk drive here but it is very expensive, costing some $500 dollars for one terabyte. Now, this one here is only $125 dollars for one terabyte. It's cheaper because on the inside it houses a regular hard drive as opposed to a solid state drive on that SanDisk, and that means it's also slower. But not super slow. Because in my testing it had a sustained copy speed of some 128 megabyte per second. Which is plenty fast for almost any task, really. It also has a very nice aluminum casing and it comes with two USB cable. One of them is a [UNKNOWN] for use with a micro computer or any computer which has USBC port. And the other cable is a compatible cable for use with any computer that has a regular USB port. Which means, basically, all other computers. Now, keep in mind that $125 for one kilobyte is not cheap. Because, you can actually buy a three kilobyte or four kilobyte drive For about the same amount of money. But, among usb-c portable drives, this one here still is a pretty good deal. So, if you have a Macbook, then getting this new Z drive here makes sense. But if you have a Micro Pro, for example, or any other computer that has a regular usb port, You should skip this one, and buy another one that's either cheaper, or has more storage space. And if you happen to have both the MacBook Pro and the MacBook, the question is, "why?" Here's my answer, that's because I am **** Ngo, and I always get whatever I want whether or not I need it. [INAUDIBLE] Which I don't. [MUSIC]
