[ Music ] ^M00:00:04 >> Hi. I'm Molly Wood from CNET here at CES 2010, and I'm taking a First Look at a very interesting product called "My Volume." Now, this device comes from a company called "SRS." They make this technology that they normally license TV makers are makers of, say, DVRs. What it does is volume leveling for your television. So you know that problem you have where the commercial is always way louder than the show. ^M00:00:27 [ TV demonstration ] ^M00:00:29 Or maybe you change channels, and all of a sudden that channel is way louder than the one before. It drives you crazy. It wakes you up from your naps. It's awful. Now, if you don't want to buy a brand-new television with this technology built in, they actually make a standalone box. This one is the HDMI version, and it costs $99.99, which I do think is a little bit steep, although all you do is plug it in, set the television to the volume that you want, and it keeps it at the same volume. It's kind of great. They also have an RCA version here that retails for $49.00. Now, these were announced at the show, and they should be available now. For CNET.com, I'm Molly Wood. ^M00:01:05 [ Music ]
