Sony MDR-EX1000 and MDR-EX600 Monitor HeadphonesAt CES 2011, Brian Tong takes a First Look at the Sony MDR-EX1000 and MDR-EX600 Monitor Headphones.
-Brian Tong here with cnet.com at CES 2011 inside of Sony's booth. And in front of me, these are two of Sony's Studio Monitor level earbuds. This is the standard Monitor earbuds, but what we have is the MDR EX1000 and the MDR EX600. Now, there's a few differences. They're using some higher quality materials in the EX1000. We're talking about liquid crystal polymer film diaphragms that's gonna help out with the sound quality and the magnesium housing. Also, another cool feature that both of these headsets have is noise cancellation and then even cooler, we all love how we want to customize the earbud fit. There's never really a headphone that fits us perfectly so what we have here is a bunch of different sizes. This is using a silicone hybrid rubber material and you can go from super small all the way to double L for extra large and then they also have noise isolation buds as well. Now, we don't know the pricing on these earbuds as of yet, but they'll be available in spring of 2011, but there you have, Sony's Studio Monitor earbuds on my right and Monitor earbuds on my left. I'm Brian Tong for cnet.com at CES 2011.
